Blue Mesa

I'm a ham for the camera every time. It's in my DNA.

Uh... what can I say?

One big happy family. (Not the polygamist kind, just friends)

More coworkers say goodby

Fort Leonard Wood, MO

First stop

Fort Leonardwood will be my home for the first nine weeks of training. This part, called "Basic Combat Training" is where I will learn basic soldiering skills. It's also where I'll get yelled at, told that I am scum, made to do unending pushups, crawl through mud and, most importantly, learn to use lots of weapons.

You can see the little red dot. That is where Fort Leonard Wood is located. I check the forecast for my first week, looks like highs in the upper 80's and lows in the lower 60's. Perfect for grunt work.

Dani, Carol, & Vanessa (not Vanissa)

Betty & Raj (my former Manager and my replacement)

Last days before shipping to BCT

I'm getting pretty excited, what training is going to be like fills my mind all the time. I'm trying to focus on friends and family these last few days but it's getting hard. I know that my wife is probably tired of hearing about it.
